The REM Group is going through some upgrades, and is seeking a new and revised logo!

We’d like to make this an open-call contest for any designers out there.

Rules & Suggestions:

- Typographic based logo wanted
- incorporating an ‘eye’ into the image somehow
- vision/”R.E.M”/eyes, etc, are incorporated into our brand theme
- 2 toned image preferred (for simplified printing, etc)
- blue and black colors preferred
- Use current logo for typographic inspiration, or create something entirely new
- The name is pronounced “The REM (rhem) Group”, no periods in between the REM, and said as a word (not like the band).
- design must work over any light or dark background, or easily altered to do so

- Designers agree and sign to forego all ownership or rights to the logo (if we choose one), however owner will be fully credited to the logo design, as well a designer biography done (all rights will be transferred to The REM Group over use and ownership of the logo).

This  will make a great resume item for student designers seeking publicity for their work!

ONE Nightclub is looking for promoters for a special project for our Spring 2010 season, and onward.

ONE Nightclub has got some fun plans lined up such as local DJ’s and *possibly* some very special out of town acts/DJ’s…and they want some motivated people to make it happen with us!

Who we are looking for:

- 21+ (by at least March 1, 2010, provide either NYS/U.S. Identification or Passport)
- MUST be very self motivated and competitive; self-starter
- MUST be willing to work as a team player
- Students highly preferred (RIT, MCC, etc.)
- Professional minded people; work hard before you play hard. It can be a very fun job with fun results – the harder you work, the better the compensation.

- Facebook account
- Twitter account (existing or new for promoter position)
- Mobile access (Blackberry, iPhone, Android, etc.) to Twitter & Facebook update applications (Tweetdeck, etc.) is a plus
- Must have own means of transportation

Universal is looking for creative individuals to remix the first two singles off Australian retro-rock group Wolfmother’s latest album, Cosmic Egg: ’New Moon Rising’ and ‘California Queen.’

Winners chosen by Universal will win a Gibson guitar and have their remix considered for digital release by Universal and featured on the Wolfmother Myspace page.

The deadline is March 17th, so get remixing and show ‘em how the ROC can rock!
